Pro Tools 7 sessions need to be saved as an earlier format to be used with pre-7.0 Pro Tools systems. Pro Tools 7.0 and higher uses a new session file format and extension (.ptf) to distinguish its sessions from sessions created with previous versions.

Do not manually put your computer to sleep when running Pro Tools. Set "Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive" to Never. In the Macintosh System Preferences, launch Energy Saver, click the Sleep tab, and disable all Sleep features. If you need to use a hub for other USB peripherals, use a powered hub or a separate dedicated USB port for Mbox 2 hardware to function properly. Mbox 2 hardware will not function properly if connected to a passive USB hub (such as an external unpowered hub, or USB port on a keyboard).Digidesign recommends the use of FireWire drives for use with these computers.
